2004 Ford F-350 Super Duty Harley Davidson Edition

Posted on by 0 comment

Ford partnered with Harley Davidson in 2000 and came out with one bad-ass truck. It all started with the F150 models. They received the 6.2L V-8, a choice of Harley paint schemes, 20″ wheels, SVT inspired body and a totally customized interior including Harley saddle bags on the back of the seats. In 2004 the F-350 was released as a Harley edition. Along with the normal customization you could have it with 4 captains chairs instead of the normal split configuration. I have a thing for these trucks, more-so for the super duties. This particular example is 100% MINT and original. From the looks of it the paint, chassis, body and interior are perfect. It’s got the 6.0L PowerStroke in it, which while I know is not everyone’s favorite, if you are looking for an HD F-350, then the rest of the truck makes up for it. Its also only got 2,935 miles on it so we know the motor and transmission haven’t seen much at all.

1978 International Harvester Scout Terra Diesel

If you are looking for a fun summer truck, definitely check out this IH Scout Terra. The Scout Terra was was IH’s competitor for the Jeep CJ’s. The Terra is basically a Scout II with a 118″ wheelbase in a 1/2 ton pickup body. This particular model is mint with only 36k miles. Its got the SD33 inline 6 diesel motor that’s been well maintained. The paint, body and chassis are MINT. I don’t see any rust or rot on there at all. The interior is original as well, no cracks on the dash and everything is in there. Its got the automatic transmission with the manual transfer case. Excellent if you want to cruise around the city without burning up the clutch in traffic! Looks like its been lifted slightly to accommodate some better tires.

2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon “Mini Brute”

Posted on by 0 comment

Check out this nifty little jeep/pickup. This was a build by a firm called Spyder Offroad and it looks pretty legit. They basically took an 05 Rubicon (with 3k miles on it), swapped out the motor with an 80’s Mercedes Turbo Diesel engine, as well as turning it into a mini-pickup truck. As we know the Mercedes TD motor is bulletproof, so when you add that to a Jeep, you get a nice rugged combo. There are a TON of mods on it, but here is the short list: Complete Teraflex kit, 4.10 gears, Cooper El Dorado 35″ tires, Rubicon axles, transfer case and lockers as well as a bunch of electronics and body mods.

1981 Datson Diesel Truck

What we have here is a nice little Datson pickup. It’s got a 4 cylinder SD22 diesel engine and a rebuilt 5-speed transmission. What’s nice with this truck is that it has the extended cab with only 74k miles. The body, chassis and interior look pretty good considering these trucks are susceptible to rust issues. Overall if you are looking for a nice, reliable, classic economy diesel ride with some utility, this is the one.

1981 GMC RTS II Bus Detroit Diesel

Posted on by 0 comment

Do you like the movie Speed? Do you want to reenact the amazing freeway jump? Then a GMC RTS is what you want. The RTS stands for “Rapid Transit Series”. The RTS line started in 1977 and is still made today. It is THE city transit bus from LA to NYC. The RTS could be had in 30, 35 or 40 foot lengths and was powered by a Detroit Diesel Series 71 engine mated to an Allison V730 transmission. This RTS is a 1981 and was used as an LA Airport shuttle bus from 1981-1982. Its a 40 foot version and according to the ad was well maintained with only 44k miles. Best thing is, the ad states it was sold to a collector who actually used it in the movie Speed!! Not sure how you can verify that, but if its true, even better!

2000 Hummer H1

Do you like Arnold Schwarzenegger? Do you like Hummers? Then you will like this H1. The H1 is the ORIGINAL “consumer” Hummer. The H1 is based on the M998 “Humvee” and was made from 1992-2006. The H1 featured a 5.7-6.6L diesel depending on the year which was mated to a 3,4,or 5 speed automatic transmission, also depending on the year. They all had the superior ground clearance, departure angles, air snorkel and the alloy insert based run-flats. Unlike the military version, the interiors were nicely appointed and had all the typical GM electronics and power features. This particular example was worked over by Hummercore out of California. This H1 has 48k miles and according to the ad, Hummercore works over the body, paint, interior and the motor/transmission to make it top notch.

Here is an example of a worked low mileage Silverado 3500. This 2015 only has 4800 miles! Its got the 6.6L Duramax engine mated to a 6 speed Allison transmission with 3.73’s in the rear. It has a TON of professionally installed aftermarket mods. Here are the highlights: 3M complete body wrap and grill wrap. This will literally make the paint job last FOREVER. Its got a 7″ lift on Fox shocks with Toyo MT tires. The interior is factory with the exception of custom leather seats with quilted piping. It looks like the interior is 100% minty fresh like its right off the dealers floor. The condition and the mods make it worth it at 67k. Bid away!
