1988 Mercedes-Benz Gelandewagen Single Cab

Posted on by 0 comment

We’ve been talking about this Single Cab all day at DD. We’re tired of seeing all the Hollywood types rolling around in their AMG G-Wagon’s with full leather interior, chrome trim, and 560+hp! We want blue-collar, hard working, single cab diesels and this Gelandewagen fits the bill. Equipped with the desirable OM617 engine, putting out 125hp and a 5-speed manual transmission, this G-Wagon, if you can even call it that, is the epitome of working class. We watched the video and when we heard that beautiful OM617 fire up we melted like a popsicle on a hot summer’s day. Honestly, you couldn’t ask for more! <3

1990 Mercedes-Benz 300 GD Station Wagon SWB G63 AMG Clone

Posted on by 0 comment

Here at DD, we love an interesting project. Take a base vehicle, throw your kid’s college fund at it, and end up with something worth less than what you started with. We hate to be overly critical, but we think that’s what this seller has done, to what was probably a pretty clean original 300GB SWB to make it a G63 clone. So is this G63 worth a look?

1984 Mercedes-Benz Unimog 406 Doka 4-Door Pickup

Posted on by 0 comment

Everyone else in the Northeast is bearing down for Snowpocalypse 2018 while here at DD, we’re dreaming of how epic it would be to plow all night then rumble through a Dunkin Donuts drive-thru for a large “regular” coffee at about 2am in this bright red Unimog 406 Doka. Mmmm…

Equipped with a 9’6″ Fisher V-plow, a 15,000 lb winch, and 6-speed manual transmission, this recently restored airport tug means snow moving business. The common Unigmog power plant is the venerable Mercedes-Benz OM352 which puts out a modest 129hp and 268 lb-ft of torque.

The only change we’d make is removing the dual stacks which don’t look right on this Unimog. But either way, we’d be happy to rumble around in this beast!

1985 Mercedes-Benz 207D Panel Van

Posted on by 0 comment

This freshly painted 1985 panel van was imported from Germany by the previous owner and has 74,800 miles on the clock. It features the OM601 engine which is good for about 80hp and 115 lb-ft of torque and a 4-speed manual transmission. It was freshly repainted by the current owner and looks very sharp. We’d spray paint “FREE CAR PARTS” on the side and see who comes knocking!

1983 Unimog U1500 AG

Ok, we admit it… we’re just plain suckers for Unimogs. Shiny and new or old and rusty, these machine always catch our eye. This green machine was restored in Germany back in 2000 and then imported into the US and resides in Portland, Oregon. This Unimog is an agriculture version which means it has a 3-point hitch, tipper bed, 2 PTO’s (because 1 isn’t enough) and working/crawling gears (4000:1 ratio). The restored interior with Westfalia brown plaid looks beautiful and this vehicle appears to clean up very nice from the included images. While green isn’t our color of choice, it’s a Unimog and we’d be perfectly happy driving this machine around town and watching people stare back at us!

Bagged 1972 Mercedes 220d

Posted on by 0 comment

Because we love the look of bagged old cars, here is a Mercedes 220d. The 220d (or the W115) was a mid-sized saloon, right below the S-Class. Production stated in 1968 and went until 1976. The W115 was known to be an extremely durable car and was bristling with the times technological innovations. Some of these innovations were the Bosch D-jetronic fuel injection and a center console (yes, a center console!). The 220d used the 2.2 inline-4 diesel motor. This example has a 4-speed manual, 120k on a broken odometer and is a 3rd owner car. Currently, the owner says all power equipment works and the body has minor issues. This isn’t the normal quality we would post here on DD, but we love how these cars look on bags, especially when it’s done right as this one looks to be. This vehicle will admittedly need work (especially on the interior) to make it 100%, but at the price, we think its worth it.

1981 Mercedes-Benz 300D Limousine

One of my fondest car memories is of my great aunt’s black, W124 300D. The rumbling, confident sound of the OM617 I5 diesel is unmistakable. While not a performance machine, the 300D was a luxurious vehicle for its time. Here’s your opportunity to own a 300D limousine, in preparation for becoming head of state. Manufactured by M-B Phalcon, this vehicle features amenities like no other for its time, including an onboard television and phone. With only 72k miles, this 300D can still turn heads today.

1985 Mercedes-Benz 300D

Posted on by 0 comment

Its getting harder and harder each year to find decent Mercedes diesel cars, let alone ones in the Northeast US where the weather eats them away. This 1985 is in Chatham, MA. Its a second owner (bought in 1996) and has been garaged with all maintenance and repairs done. Looks like it was even repainted along with removing any rust it did have. This is an excellent find in this part of the country and the price is right. 200k miles is NOTHING for this car, especially the way its been taken care of. We ran the carfax and its clean just like the article says. If you are looking for a 300D Merc, go see this one!
